ALWAYS WANTED TO TRY A CROSS COUNTRY COURSE?

Here’s your chance!

In eventing mode, there are 20 cross-country jumps of varying design. Once you jump a small and medium warm up obstacle, you are ready to enter the course. The course twists and winds around the countryside- watch out for the trees! The terrain is technical. You will experience going up banks, down drops, as well as coops, brush, slants, skinnys, coffins, etc. You can ride at different speeds—the course usually takes 8 minutes, but William Fox-Pitt did it in four minutes! So, there is quite a range of speed and gait extension available in order to adjust your pace and stride length to meet the jumps correctly. As with the jumping mode, a data analysis screen is available to evaluate several data points for each jumping attempt:

  • Rein Contact- measures balance and consistency

  • Stirrup Pressure- indicates symmetry and control

  • Seat Positioning- sensors track shifts and weight distribution

  • Take Off Zone- immediate on-screen feedback on stride distance accuracy

  • Lead Leg & Gait Analysis- confirms the correctness of aids and transitions

These insights allow for tailored instruction, targeted corrections and measurable improvements.

In a separate motif known as "Free Ride," riders can ascend and descend hills of differing degrees of steepness, from beginner to advanced, to familiarize themselves with a variety of terrain.

You can also schedule a session with an experienced instructor to refine your skills.
