Located in Lexington, KY

Ride Like You Ought in Lexington, Kentucky is home to two Racewood Horse Riding Simulators, one for dressage and one for jumping and eventing. The simulators provide realistic, immersive riding experiences that enable a rider to focus entirely on themselves. The two simulators are completely different to ride, each offering unique advantages.

Equine Riding Simulators are a revolutionary, game-changing way to learn to ride or improve your riding skills in a climate-controlled setting. Sensors within the simulator provide real-time computer data analysis of your riding. Because the horse is stationary, an instructor can be at your side, utilizing mirrors, computers and video to work closely with the rider.

The simulator never gets tired, so you can practice a skill as many times as necessary to become competent without having to stand around to rest during valuable lesson time or stress your horse. Jump non-stop while you work on your form. Learn how to time your aids, canter for the first time, sit the trot, perform flying changes, and develop an eye-catching seat.

Ride dressage tests, cross country courses, track your riding distances, canter through virtual scenery; and practice jumping or condition yourself to increase fitness and core strength. The simulator is beneficial for most disciplines, for first-time riders or people coming back from injury. They are just FUN!

testimonials

“This is something everybody should experience! If you really want to work on rider position, this is the way to do it! Instructors give in-depth lessons, explaining clearly how to correct your position and find your balance. This was the most effective lesson I have ever had in all my years of riding…5 stars plus from me!”

“I started lessons on the simulator in February of 2024 and can't express how much getting stable, strong and improving my biomechanics has changed my effectiveness to apply the aids and exercises I learned from my instructor I ride with in Louisville. I now am excited to ride and my horses are much more willing and happy! I can't recommend lessons on the simulator enough!”

“Simulators are amazing at helping you relearn correct rider biomechanics, improve your seat and balance, and translate these changes successfully to your actual riding! I attend weekly, and my trainer has noticed my improvement. I can't recommend highly enough, no matter your discipline! Five stars!”
